Weather Conditions in Qatar

While Qatar is a favored place for work and foreign investment opportunities, the weather can at times be a challenging or pleasant experience for expats depending on the season.

Winter temperatures in Qatar can get as low as 9 degrees Celsius and as high as 50 degree Celsius in the summer season with August being the hottest month of the year and January the coolest.The autumn and spring seasons in Qatar are generally quite warm and dry.

Qatar has a maximum rainfall of 17 mm in the month of February with the total rainfall for the year at approximately 75 mm. There is almost no rainfall from the months of June to October. Throughout the year the weather is mostly hot and dry apart from the late autumn and winter seasons when the country experiences a much cooler climate.

The country is mostly covered by desert, where daytime temperatures in the summer can peak to 50 degrees Celsius in the month of August. Night time temperatures are much lower during the summer however the country also experiences high humidity levels.

From the months of December to February, the climate becomes milder and occasionally chilly in the month of January when night time temperatures can reach as low as 9 degrees Celsius.
