A luxury megaplex with a 10 screen theatre is likely to open next year at The Pearl Qatar, said Qatar Media Services (q.media) yesterday.
 
The Pearl-Qatar’s first cinema megaplex is expected to provide best entertainment services to visitors and residents of the island.
 
The megaplex will boast standout features that include a luxurious VIP theatre with recliner seats, a private lounge, and a casual dining atrium, all in collaboration with leading international brands.
 
The theatre will have a blockbuster line-up of movie releases and offer moviegoers the superior services associated with the brand, including online booking and mobile application, e/kiosks, RealD 3D technology and a gourmet selection of refreshments.
 
Operated and managed by Gulf Film, a subsidiary of q. media and the operator of Grand Cinemas, the Middle East’s largest cinema chain.
 
Gulf Film was established in 1989 and based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Gulf Film is the leading film distributor and exhibitor in the Middle East, accounting for over 50 percent of the region’s film releases and the largest number of screens under a single operator. Gulf Film multiplexes currently number 13, for a total of 110 screens and 22,000 seats.
