The world’s most important Cycling Championship is taking place in Qatar with today marking the first day of the race. The UCI Road World Championships in Qatar will host around 1,000 racers from 75 countries and more than 5,700 participants from national federations, delegations, technicians and journalists in addition to around 30,000 fans and millions of spectators from all over the world.
As cyclists cycle across Qatar, there will be several road closures and detours on the dates of the event from October 8 to October 16.
