Manama: Qatar’s national campaign for the conservation and efficient use of water and electricity has received a boost after the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development and Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote its positive values.
 
Tarsheed, the five-year campaign launched last April, aims to increase environmental awareness and educate the public about the importance of consuming resources wisely.
 
Through the partnership, Kahramaa looks forward to generating a meaningful response from the community and hopes to eliminate wasteful practices across all segments of society.
 
Under the agreement, Qatar Foundation will help facilitate Kahramaa’s mission by hosting several joint activities associated with Earth Day.
