Last week we asked our fans on Facebook “What is your favorite tower in Doha?” and Tornado Tower won the vote!

Tornado Tower is an iconic 52 storey building that became part of Doha’s magnificent skyline in 2008. The name says it all, with its distinctive shape, it stands at 200 meters (660 ft) tall and is situated in West Bay, the commercial district of Doha. With the unique architecture of Tornado Tower, it has amazing 360 degree panoramic views of the city and the Corniche. The floor spaces at Tornado Tower range from 696 sq m to 2,001 sq m.

There are 16 high speed lifts in Tornado Tower that travel at two floors (7.5 meters) per second and 1700 parking spaces over three basement levels. At the entrance to Tornado Tower the lobby has a media belt that broadcasts business and financial news from around the world.

The Tornado Tower offers 58,029 sq m of office space in Qatar. On the 27th floor there is a health club with an exclusive fully-equipped gym and the 28th floor has a fine dining restaurant and lounge area. The 51st floor has a helipad for VIP entry and emergencies.

Tornado Tower by night puts on a spectacular light show, designed by Thomas Emde, making it a highlight of the Doha skyline with up to 35,000 different light combinations.
